Efficiency Kansas partners are key to the success of this public-private initiative.
Partner Lenders are the conduit to the program's low-cost financing for energy-saving projects in existing homes and small businesses in their local communities. With their strong customer relationships and community ties, Partner Lenders help spread the word about the benefits of sound energy-efficiency improvements

  • For approved projects, lenders receive 100% of the project cost from the state at 0% interest.
  • Lenders may charge up to 4% interest on Efficiency Kansas loans.
  • Maximum loan term is 15 years.
  • Maximum amount financed is $20,000 for residential and $30,000 for small business projects.

Partnering with Efficiency Kansas is easy. If you're a bank, credit union, savings and loan institution, or a member of the federal farm credit system with a branch or headquarters in Kansas, you are eligible to be an Efficiency Kansas partner. Just fill out the Efficiency Kansas Lender Participation Agreement. The State Treasurer's office manages the transactions with Partner Lenders.
